An open field. A clear, star-filled sky. A full moon. A gentle, cool night breeze. Small blades of grass and flowers brushing gently against two figures.
Tsume and Yoruichi were sitting next to each other in silence, just gazing up at the sky. In the distance, the cries of wolves could be heard, and a wry smile formed on the woman's lips.
"Oh? Did you set up some kind of trap?" she said as she looked over at her silent companion.
He just grunted. "Wolves aren't like cats," he said without looking at her. "We don't resort to tricks to get what we want."
At his words, she quirked a brow and stared at him for a moment. Her eyes alight with amusement, she leaned up against him as a hand reached up to brush against the exposed skin on his arm. "A straightforward kind of guy. I have a few other tricks up my sleeve, you know," she smirked as her face moved closer to his.
The wolf just stared at her for a second, an unreadable look in his eyes before he just returned the smirk. "Try all you want, you'll only get the same answer," he said.
"And that would be?" she purred, her arms now around his neck.
"Denied."
Yoruichi blinked before laughing and sitting back. "Hard to get. Ah well, it makes things more interesting."
To that, Tsume just snorted and closed his eyes as he leaned back to lie on the ground.
