new years was pretty fun. we all went to vicki's house and ate tons of food and drank. we watched some stand-up dave chappelle and the stupid ball drop. i don't think anyone got nearly as trashed as we were planning. i think all the food canceled most of what we drank out. i made some fantabulous punch and that seemed to make some people happy (myself included). i should've been more drunk but i still had fun. i also managed to forget my camera, but vicki had her digital (when she's emailed them out i might post a few). sadly, i was falling asleep at 1am and john & i left not too long after that.
to start the new year off vicki, pat, dave and i went shopping. i'm doomed to not find shoes to replace the ones i'm wearing. they're falling apart. everywhere i went had old lady shoes or none of the ones i wanted in my size. BASTARDS. vicki and i went on a spree in bath and body works, and i spent part of my gift certificate to newbury comics on 'the devil's advocate.' such an awesome movie. the rest is going towards the new season of millennium. caaan't wait for that tomorrow. john has been nice enough to watch quantum leap with me and he actually seems to be enjoying it, which is awesome.
i slept worse than ever last night. i think i spent more time awake and uncomfortable than i did asleep. *sigh*
i hate people just as much as always, if not more. how can people be so sick and messed up to be looting and raping (among other things) in the tsunami ravaged countries? they're even stealing medicine and other things from the relief aid. i wish they were the ones who had been unfortunate enough to suffer. grrr.
