Megumi-Stalking Action Time!

[Luke had no idea where Megumi was. He didn't know where she lived, even what side of town. His mind kept screaming that he ought to just go home and rest...he felt tired and a bit wobbly on his feet, but he couldn't convince his body that that was what needed to happen. Instead, he kept on wandering around the city, thinking as he walked. Why am I doing this? Why can't I stop?!]

[ Megumi knew what to do after seeing Tatsumi's feed. At least, she knew what to do if she wanted to make sure she'd live this weekend. Even if she and Tatsumi were allies at times, she knew they actually just didn't really like each other and would prefer to save their own hide first. So coming across the werewolf while he was on a rampage? Not a good idea.

... And yet, she had expected some juicey drama to start over all of it over the network, but nothing had happened yet. And curiosity was slowly but surely getting the better of her. Maybe if she would just be careful enough, she could go outside for a moment and take a peek of any chaos. The girl grabbed her parasol against the sun and to hide with if things got really bad and went outside, walking around outside the Horton building. ]

[The fact that his rational mind was screaming that Megumi could both eat or kill him did not seem to be enough to overcome the fact that his body, for some reason, was absolutely bent on tracking her down and exacting revenge. The strangest part was that tracking someone down to take revenge on them was so very much unlike him--he'd never felt any need to do this to anyone, least of all someone who he knew could get the best of him in the process.]

[But tracking her down he did. He reached Horton after a bit of walking, and saw a parasol wandering around outside of a building. He approached quietly, until he could be sure. Yes. It was definitely Megumi. Before he could think about it, he picked up a rock and threw it at her back.]

Megumi!

[Oh no. She's going to kill me. Why can't I stop?!]

[ As aware of her surroundings as Megumi was trying to be - Tatsumi could still pop up right here, after all, and the last thing she wanted right now was to be caught off guard by the other Shiki - she didn't quite notice Luke sneaking up until she felt a small rock hitting her in the back. It didn't hurt too much, but it was enough to be an annoyance. For a moment her heart would have skipped a beat if it would still be beating in the first place as she realised it might be Tatsumi, but then she heard the voice.

That brat again, huh? She was pretty sure she had scared him off well during the few conversations they had, so why was he back here like this? He should know better by now, right? ... It was strange, to say the least. But hey, Megumi wasn't complaining too much. Harassing him was some amusement in this place, after all. ]

... What, you again? [ She turned around now to face Luke, still looking slightly confused even though a smile played around her lips. ]

[His rational mind was thinking of what to do next, and had concluded ages ago that running for his life was his best option. But his body still seemed incapable of cooperating with him. Instead of backing off, he was walking closer to her. He wasn't particularly good at any sort of fighting. And he still couldn't understand why he didn't have the ability to just stop attempting to instigate her. His mind knew it was a bad idea, but the rest of him didn't seem to follow along.]

Me again. I came back because you made me suffer and now it's your turn.

[Why did I say that?! I would never say that and definitely never to her! But before he could do anything else, he was standing right in front of her and looking right up at her. His body seemed to think about what a mean thing to do would be, and decided that going after her little parasol would be mean enough. Even his mind understood that, because he knew that vampires were supposed to not like the sunlight.]

[ Honestly, that was enough to make Megumi seriously look surprised for a moment. Because she remembered how sheer frightened the boy had been that one time he had spoken with her after the encounter, and now he would suddenly talk like this?

It wasn't that she was afraid of him - of course not, it was a little kid, what could he even do - but the situation was surprising.

Ah, but that could be fun as well, right? She grins. ]

Now it's my turn..? [ A giggle. ] What, you sure have big words all of a sudden for such a little kid!

[Luke stiffened. Even if he hadn't been under some strange spell, he would've been annoyed at being told he was a little kid.]

I am not a little kid!

[Luke grumbled at the giggle, irritated. His body felt angry, and the fact that his mind was still arguing with said body to stop it didn't make any difference.]

[Then, he lunged forward at her, aiming for her abdomen and pushing forward with all his strength.]

[Meanwhile all he could think was she is going to kill me...]

[ Even with his attitude from just now, Megumi didn't actually expect him to attack. And yet now she found herself surprised yet again at the sudden lunging, just a split second too late to fully dodge it. Instead she managed to fall down on the ground in her just a little bit too late attempt to dodge.

She hissed, immediately climbing back up to her feet. She might have gotten a scratch somewhere, but that's most likely the extent of the damage at the best.

Remember the rock you threw earlier, Luke? Well, Megumi is very good at throwing rocks too. And when she was pushed onto the ground, she had quickly found the rock again and clenched her fist around it. ]

You.. How dare you even touch me?! [ She threw the rock into his general direction, hoping to hit him. ]

[Luke was surprised that he'd managed to knock her down. His rational mind was shocked, but he felt like his body was pleased with the turn of events. Until, of course, he got hit by that rock that Megumi chucked at him. Her aim was much better than his, and she managed to knock his hat right off his head.]

[Evidently, even after losing his mind he still cared enough about his hat to stop in the middle of what he was doing and go retrieve it.]

[But after that, he turned back to her, and was ready to go after her again. But she didn't kill me already...I ought to stop while I'm ahead. He was again running at her, still aiming to knock her back down but this time running and attempting to get as much force behind the move as he could.]

[ Oh, but at least this time Megumi at least saw Luke coming for her, which helped a lot. The frown on her face was slightly replaced by a smirk as she could already vision her getting the upper hand now. ]

What do you think you're doing? You're ten years too early for this sort of thing!

[ When he came closer she quickly sidestepped the move and stuck out her leg in an attempt to make him trip over it. After all, what would a helpless kid lying on the ground still be able to do if she managed to succeed in this? ]

[Luke was never much of a fighter, and subsequently he knew not to pick fights with others. Particularly people who were a lot bigger than he was--those were really people he didn't want to fight.]

[That still didn't stop his body. By now, he was fairly convinced he'd just lost his mind and that throwing himself at Megumi was how he was going to die, and that was simply the end of it.]

What are you even talking about?!

[He didn't notice that she'd stuck her leg out, and tripped right over it, stumbling a few steps before falling flat on his face. He stayed on the ground, face-down, for a moment, head reeling, before he turned and started to get back on his feet. For a moment, he wobbled, feeling lightheaded--that was the sick he remembered from when Megumi had bitten him. He rubbed his eyes and took a deep breath, and this cleared his head enough for him to not want to fall back over.]

[ Megumi just watched on with an amused look as he fell on the ground and then slowly got up again while wobbling. There was.. something off about the boy, she had to admit. Surely just tripping him like that wouldn't be enough to trigger that moment of dizziness, and yet..

... Ah, he was crazy for coming back for her either way right now, right? Why would she question any of his weird behaviour? ]

Here's a hint. Next time you're knocked down, stay down.

[ She lifted up her right leg before aiming a kick at him with her high heeled shoes, ready to knock him down again. This time with more force than the tripping. ]

[He gave her the most irritated look he could muster when she told him to stay down. He was about to retaliate to her comment when she came at him to kick him. She continued to have much better aim, and her pointy shoe hit him in the stomach. That hurt, and he froze, arms guarding his abdomen. It took him a good few seconds to catch his breath, and his eyes teared at the pain.]

[Give it up! he was trying to convince his body that he had to stop, because he hurt and he knew he couldn't beat her, but he still couldn't get himself to stop.]

[When he caught his breath and steadied himself, he lunged back at her. He actually made contact this time, and did exactly what he had done to Tatsumi--as he ran at her, he stomped on her foot while trying to knock her down.]

[ She had to grit her teeth to not shout in pain at the stomp on her foot. From the feel of it that was still going to hurt for a little after this fight and the sense of pain droning in her foot only angered the girl more and more, changing her smirk from just now into near rage.

Megumi extended her arms to grab the boy by the collar now he was so close, slightly lifting him up from the ground. ]

You..!

[ But before she was able to rage on, she noticed it - those two tiny dots. Megumi wouldn't mistake those things, not after seeing them so many times. It was the bite of a Shiki. And there was only one other Shiki here, one who might be able to suddenly use hypnotism again now..

... Tatsumi. She should have figured. Something this lame was just like him. ]

That guy told you to do this, huh? Geez.. What a pain..

[ She frowned at the boy for a few moments, unsure what to do. She held him a bit further away from her body so he wouldn't be able to kick her regardless or anything. ]Listen, if you're just a good kid I'll let you be

[He struggled against her grip, kicking and writhing against her. He did not appreciate being held up by his collar, and he was very much displeased with being held as such, particularly since that had been how Tatsumi had ultimately caught him earlier.]

[She figured it out. How did she figure it out?! I want to stop but I can't even if I keep trying...]

No! I have to!

[You idiot she was just offering to let you get away without killing you. Meanwhile, he couldn't quite reach her, and was too busy holding her arms so that he didn't choke to death to do much more than kick at her, and his legs weren't quite long enough to reach.]

[ Megumi let out a sigh. Sure, she could just knock this kid out badly or even kill him, but.. they would most likely trace her own in the end and blame it on her. And she honestly didn't feel like dealing with that in this sort of place. Even if there was the tiniest chance they might have blamed it on Tatsumi while he was out on his spree.

The Shiki glanced around her, trying to ignore the kid's struggling, until she spotted an old trash container. That should be enough to get rid of him.

Megumi turned her head back to Luke, although the smirk from earlier still wasn't back on her face, still more annoyance. ]

Well, guess it's good night for now! I would have liked to play more with you, but nobody wants to be caught by the big bad wolf, right? [ Yes, Tatsumi passing by and noticing this was the last thing she needed
