Really unmotivated
It's Friday and I can't seem to get anything done at work today. Everyone has just been really unmotivated. On Wednesday management annouced the closing of a big site up in Massachusetts and we lost a lot of talented people. Management can only request that you do more with less so many times before things start to break down and I think it's reaching that point. We've been busy re-evaluating schedules and plans and things are looking a little bleak. People have annouced their plans yet and things will likely get pushed back. Many groups were hit much harder then mine.
Yesterday merxyn and I went over to Mr. Wok for some great ramen/soba/udon dishes. I tried Hiyashichuuka which is a kind of cold (not really) noodle dish. It had a pile of noodles with some beans, chicken and eggs on topped. It had a ginger dressing/sauce you poured on top and it was outstanding. I'm going to have to order it again. Lately I've been developing a taste for ginger. I can probably blame that on my Mom since she also loves ginger. I've been craving some of this hard ginger candy I was given in a class earlier this year, but I can't find it anywhere.
After we went out to eat we played some Soul Calibur and Animal Crossing. merxyn was kicking my ass with Link. All the strategies I've been learning fighting against Woody don't work against a fast character. I'm having to develop a new strategy from scratch, both offensively and defensively. Hopefully a little of it will pay off against Woody. After merxyn couldn't handle any more we threw in Animal Crossing and I had almost nothing to do. The store to buy and sell stuff was closed for remodeling and none of the residents had any work for me to do. Merxyn had already done almost everything so I resorted to shaking trees. You can get various things from shaking trees, money, chairs, tables, peaches and lots of bees. My character got stung at least 5 times and looks like a giant swollen piece of flesh. I decked out my house in all the cool things I found. I have a tulip and bright neon pink table, pink table, orange wallpaper (that is wallpaper with drawings of the inside of a orange), a big blue vase and some love carpet that Frenzy gave me. It looks like a Tokyo love hotel without the vibrating bed. I have got to redecorate when I get some money.
