And the soul still burns...
Sorry to skip out on everyone Friday night. I didn't really feel like watching Wrath of Kahn that night. I went home and curled up on the couch and starting reading Dune again. I just watched the mini-series and some parts of it bothered me. They weren't what I remembered, but I may be confusing the movie with the book so I decided to read the book again. So far I was right on the differences I found, but I'm still in the beginning of the book.
Today I woke up early and went to class. I still arrived 15 minutes late, but that was ok. Kyoko-sensei made another joke about there being bad weather. Recently I've been skipping class often, but I almost always make it when there is bad weather. The worse it is the more likely I'll make it. Whenever I do make it to class someone asks if the weather is bad. It's getting a little old so next time is rains/snows or ices over I'm going to be sure to skip.
After class I played around a little at home then gave Woody a call. I went over to his place around 2 and just got back. It's about 4am now. We watched 4 episodes of Chobits in the afternoon and 4 episodes of You're Under Arrest before I left this morning. The rest was all Soul Calibur. Our final score was 104/88 or so with me in the lead. We restarted the versus match several times though since Jason was also playing. I've learned some new moves and I spent the evening paying Woody back for all the ass-kicking I've recieved the past several weeks. Both of us have gotten pretty good. The matches can be a little tense at times. I think I understand a little how merxyn feels, but I live for that feeling. Woody started catching up after 1:30, but I think that was because I was awfully tired. I just wasn't blocking moves that I had blocked the entire night.
Tomorrow I need to stop by work then it's back to Woody's for more anime and Soul Calibur. I'll find out if I was just lucky yesterday or my skill has improved.
