Je me suis reveillee a 6h00 - automatic. Sooo freaked out about being late!
le petit dejuner: a continental breakfast- on the continent! galaneuse, pain au chocolat, compote au pommes, jus de pamplemousse, thé.
Le matin: Bus tour - very difficult to take pictures, but learned a lot. Summer (our tour guide) knows what /everything/ is. Gov't buildings, etc. Bridges, cool. Arch de triomphe, Champs elysees. Definitely got lost. We just wanted to shop! Not cool! Bought a bag, camera died. Grr!
Le Dejuner: Le Quick- European Fast Food. Not great; wouldn't do it again, although it was quick. Maybe a good lunch tomorrow? Also, I couldn't understand the guy at the counter. He asked me if I wanted a coke. In my defense it was really loud in there.
L'apres midi: Louvre- Saw the main stuff, Venus de Milo, Mona Lisa, Winged Victory, Davide. Had 15 min (!) to look around, bolted with Mme Stewart to Napoleon III apartments. My pics are on her camera. Later, got batteries from junk shop next to hotel.
Le diner: Salad with chicken and bitter greens (not all about), Poulet and mashed potatoes, Creme brulee!
Le soir: Bateau Mouche. Wish I knew how to work my camera better; also how to take pics without Asians in them. It rained.
L'hotel: Called home, experimented with shower, which only sprays either into the wall or out of the curtain.
