Title: Complex Duplex 2/4
Genre: Friendship
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Junho/Wooyoung
Summary: Wooyoung feels hatred towards a certain idol and cringes whenever he sees his face. Fate delivers an unlikely chance where Wooyoung not only has to see the idol every day, but be the idol.
As if trying to stick to the guidebook Wooyoung was given wasn't hard enough, his first job was to walk through the airport, passed scream fans who knew Junho's features from a mile away and get into the company van with tinted windows.
“It's not as tough as you think,” Junho said as he packed his stuff up. “It's about ten steps to the doors then thirty steps passed all the fans. The van will be there when you get there so from the doors to the van is less than ten more steps. You can wave and smile, they like when I smile.” He chuckled as he pat Wooyoung on the shoulder.
He tried not to shake off the touch, his glare only seething from inside his head as he watched the idol leave the room. All this time he had despised the other male and now he was being paid to be him. A few times, Wooyoung had thought about making a mistake to make a fool out of the singer/actor but he knew that cheque would only be shredded and his chance to rid himself of debt would just be a dream. The money was good and he didn't have to worry about finding a place to live or supporting himself in the meantime. He would try to enjoy it from what he could but take it seriously as well, even if he disliked the idol.
Once the crew were packed up, the manager, Nam Gook, approached Wooyoung to tell him the plan. He was to board a later plane to Japan then meet them at the hotel. Once Junho was scheduled to leave, Wooyoung would take his place and leave the airport while the real Junho would stay a few days longer. He didn't know the details of why the other male was staying but he shrugged and said, “Got it.”
It was easy getting into the airport and waiting for his flight. He was still himself without make-up or any hint of him being the idol. It almost felt casual to him but Wooyoung had never been on an airplane before and he was going to be by himself. He boarded the aircraft and got comfortable in his seat, the flight being a short two hours. The few hours would allow Wooyoung to get some rest as it was three in the morning and he was only to arrive the day before departure. 'Life as an idol' he thought to himself before closing his eyes.
The plane arrived right on time and he got off, grabbing his small bag and meeting one of the assistants at the door as he got into the van and they drove to the hotel. He explained that Nam Gook and Junho were currently rehearsing for the concert and that he was to wait in the hotel room designated for him until they got back. Wooyoung nodded and swallowed once they arrived at the luxurious looking building. He was guided inside and taken to a room for himself, being told to stay put and if he was hungry to ask the assistant. In a way, he felt as if he had his own personal body guard and he chuckled to himself. Being in the room, he decided to take a long hot shower before having the assistant run off for something to eat. A low moan left his throat as he relaxed, feeling pampered and spoiled while he waited.
Nam Gook came to his room hours later, looking tired as he brought him to Junho's room, the idol sweaty and about to run into the shower. “Ah, make yourself at home, Woo-ah. I'll be leaving shortly.”
Wooyoung inwardly cringed at the name and the smile on the other male's face before looking at the bed, seeing it untouched. The state of the room made him frown as he realized that Junho had barely even spent a second inside it and was going to leave. He sat down on the bed, listening to the shower shut off and Junho emerged from the bathroom in nothing but a towel.
“I haven't laid on the bed yet so it's still clean. Nam Gook said that you'll have to get your make-up done and pretend to go grab something to eat so I can sneak out. You okay with that?”
He wanted to ask, the question on the tip of his tongue as to why Junho was sneaking out but he just nodded. His eyes remained on the floor as the idol got dressed and dried off as much as he could. The scent of Junho's cologne made it to his nose as well as heat and he lifted his head, seeing the other male in front of him with a smile.
“I never got to thank you for accepting the job so, thanks. This'll really help me out a lot.” His smile brightened as he looked at Wooyoung. “If there's anything you need, food, clothes, new shoes, just tell Nam Gook, okay?”
Wooyoung gave another nod but the idol kept the smile on his face, grabbing his jacket as he announced that he was leaving. Nam Gook stepped in and the make-up artist was soon to follow. It was dark outside so all Wooyoung needed was a bit of work on his face as well as a hooded sweatshirt to hide most of his head. He walked out of the hotel to see a small group of fans waiting outside with signs and quietly cheering. Hiding himself as best as he could, he got into the van and they drove around the block before Nam Gook asked if he was hungry. The first mission actually had his heart racing but the risk of being caught then was very low. If this made him nervous, would he slip up when walking through the airport?
