Back in 1989, I lived in Charlotte, NC when Hurricane Hugo hit. We were on the east side of the storm and basically got the worst of it. There was no power for about two weeks, so there was a lot of living on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, canned tuna, and similar "cuisine".
