First off, happy birthday to lilac_bearry and happy belated birthday to chicagoamy! I hope you both had wonderful days full of Gilderoy Lockhart and Dominic Monaghan (you guys know which one belongs to which of you :P).

Today I went with the voter registration coalition to register voters in Upper Darby, PA. Unfortunately, it wasn't very successful at all -- Bree and I got one change of address registration, but he was Republican, and we gave out two forms for people who weren't home so they could register later. We think they were probably Democrats. (Actually, it was kind of crazy. We had a list of houses whose residents were already registered, and what party they belonged to, and whenever we passed a house that was registered I guessed whether they were registered as Democrats or Republicans, just for fun. I was right probably about 90% of the time -- it was unnerving how easy it was to tell, just from the way the house looked and the decorations that adorned the windows and garden. I don't even know exactly what criteria I used, but apparently it worked. o_O) Two weeks ago I did the voter reg thing also, but standing outside a dollar market instead of going door to door, and that was much more satisfying because I got lots of people to register. Oh well. Maybe next weekend will be better.

Other exciting news:

When I got back today I realized I was locked out of my room, and none of the RAs were around to let me in. So, ever so resourcefully, I climbed out the window in the alcove outside our door onto the roof of the porch below us and edged around until I got to the window of our room. Then I pushed open the window and climbed in, easy as pie. It was terribly exciting, and now I know that the porch roof isn't a particularly scary angle and we could sit out there to read if we wanted to. That kind of ROX.

Also! The 2004-2005 course catalog has been out for several weeks now, but I didn't realize it till Thursday. I'm so excited for next semester's classes! Hopefully I will be taking a two-credit Spanish seminar on FEDERICO GARCIA LORCA, whom I love a lot. <3 And then there's also this class on the Beatles that's being offered next semester -- it's probably going to be impossible to get into and I don't know if I'd want to waste a whole academic credit on that, but it sounds like so much fun. And I only need to take two more classes for the Linguistics minor (Syntax and Morphology & the Lexicon), and since I want to take both of them anyway I figure I might as well minor in that. And maybe major in Spanish, but I don't know.

And then go to law school. Yep, that's the current plan. Am I insane?
