Ok, becuase I am very bored and not desiring to do any work, that which i have been deleteriously prolonging and avoiding for a couple of days now, I will post my favorite pictures from the last few months. FOos, we gonna begin with Paris, England, Scotland, and end with Italy.
Paris, France. Below nigga llooook bellooow--------my two English cousins, Parenda on the left, Negena (aka Niggs) on the right. Notice the symmetry? hmm. Niggs' bangs sweep at a diagonal towards the right whilst Parenda's towards the left. The nuances of sisterhood :P
Then they decided that the mall imposed a causterphobic atmoshpere and wished to frolic in the snow near the Tuilleries Garden, the Eiffel tower their backdrop.
When living in my aunt's flat in the outskirts of Paris, I decided to go out to Montmarte, in the scenic little square near the sacre couer. Here, I am just a little tipsy, and wanted to capture that feeling/state of mind, yes ahem, for comparitive purposes.
Sacre Coeur. my favorite place, EVER, even despite the fuckers, ahem, draggeurs loitering on its steps whisteling obsenities at the female population... its said that at the outbreak of the Franco Prussian war, two catholic businessmen made a private religious vow here. It was said to build a church dedicated to the sacred heart of christ should france be spared the impending prussian onslaught.
Square in the heart of montmarte with vibrant art, music, and restaurants
Chateaux de Versaille. Moon shining upon the water. The garden, at dusk.
Me and my French cousin Sotouda, after a long day at the Louvre
Me, Soutouda (in the middle) and Soryia (my other French cousin) at Asterix park in France. It was a type of six flags thing, only it had an Gaul Viking theme.
Birmingham, England. City Centre square where they had a Starbucks! Im with my cousin niggs here, we were sitting around this fountain when we overheard this man next to us, waiting for his date--poor guy was stood up!
London, England. London eye in the background, the Thames in the foreground, and parliamentary buildings behind the Eye. It was a gorgeously hot day...and I wanted to kill the two little English boys (ok some far distant annoying cousins) I was with
Front facade of Buckingham Palace. Is that divine light above? Ass holish English preppy traffic director around the Palace area gave me the wrong directions to Hyde Park becuase I refused to respond to his inane flirtations....rude Londoners
Hyde Park. Finally found it after asking some American tourists. I like this picture becuase of the sense of isolation it conveys, but not only that-- there's also life and animation, slight and almost unnoticable, the boater in the water
Oxford, England. Little square I found and frequented a couple of times. Left, there's a small comportable cafe stand where I bought Earl Gray tea and chocolate muffins. So good. Quaint. Rustic shops across from me, the tree providing shade on the left, couples to my far right whispering delicately to one another, and the birds above flitting lightly
Warwick, England. Warwick Castle. In the gardens, and I think this is the river Avon. On the right there's another prettier garden with colourful flowers and peacocks in it! Ok, so there's no smoking in the gardens right? So I didn't smoke the entire three hours I was there, but, it started insanely raining so, taking advantage of this break and perhaps lapse in park security, i lit a cigg all the while hiding my acitivities with my Gap umbrella...eh, but i only inhaled a few puffs before i threw it out. It stopped raining.Dammit!
London, England. THE GLOBE BABY!!! This was my most amazing experience in London. My favorite place in London is not only Covent Garden, but also (and even more) the little walk along the Thames (near the Tate and across from it St. Paul's) and as you keep going down on the Tate side, you hit the reconstructed Globe Theatre. Beautifully rebuilt theatre of the world. Multiple rows of spectators surrounding a spherical expanse of space in the middle. On one side of the sphere is a procenium stage with the decorated heavens above and hell below. You can either get normal seats (somewhat expensive) or just buy 'yard standing' (5 pound = 8 dollar) seats--which is even better because you get not only the sky above you, the real sky, but also sublime view of the constructed heavens, and a close up view of the cast--their costumes, the colours, lights, music, and facial expressions of the players. Watched 'Much Ado about nothing,' and it was a special performance because it was an all-female cast! (female cast maybe a literalization of the meaning of 'nothing' = 'no thing' inability to procreate, sexual activity, sterility...:)
Stratford Upon Avon, England. Continuing with da Shakespeare theme. Stratford-upon-Avon below. Saw but did not go inside, Holy Trinity Church, birthplace of Shakespeare. Below, is the river Avon and next to it on the left is well, I think a fake reproduction of the 'red lion' tavern...supposedly the Red Lion was the first theatre (public) constructed in London. Fake Red Lion may be a tribute to Shakespeare, becuase I thought the Red Lion was supposed to be or was in London, yes??
St. Andrews, Scotland. The old Course Hotel, I live a little bit across from this place along the Scores
One day, in St. Andrews, we felt homesick and decided to bring a little bit home into Scotland. Pizza and wine (me chugging the wine, its unfortunately obscured by my backpack)
The pier! Ok tradition holds that on May day (1rst) college kids get super drunk and jump off the edge into the North Sea, naked!
Beach along the Scores
Beach with Katie and Lauren in the foreground, the town in the background. Dark glittering frosty sky.
Rome, Italy. Brady Bunching it on the Spanish Steps in ROME!
The interior halls of the Vatican. Pretty colours.
My favorite picture. Sunny piazza in Rome. It's not that you can see the sun, you can feel it.
Roman Collusseum. Blood, death, slavery, power, and a shirtless Russel Crow
Spanish steps at night.
Lauren and I. We be chillin on da Spanish steps yo.
Trevi Fountain. Now we be throwin da bling bling over our shulderss so we can marry into the mafia
Repurcussions of the Trevi fountain. Fountain reacting to the bling bling at night by exuding some of dat bling lightof its own
My hair and I
Off to Frascati! (a town neighboring Rome)
Balcony overflowing with vegetation.
Vinyards of Frascati. Reminds me of 'Under the Tuscan Sun.' Frascati is known for their dry white wine that is perchance made in this yard...
Magnificent view from villa in Frascati. Spontaneous overflow of emotion recollected in tranquility. Yes, indeedy.
Stephanie, Katie, Lauren, and the colluseum. Im taking the picture. I will never forget this moment as one that was one of the most shitty in my f**** life! i was soaking wet, my pants were wet to my knees, i had no umbrella, and the temperature was in the negatives centigrade!
THE END!!!
