<3 Brian

I was strangely dizzy/light-headed this morning after breakfast.  From what I've read, it was "normal" and pregnancy related as I enter week 12 (I was well hydrated and just had a filling meal, so it obviously wasn't blood sugar).

Anyway, it put a damper on my productive plans.  I had been looking forward to heading to the mall, picking up my closet organization system, and getting it all assembled.  Yet I was too dizzy to properly load the dishwasher, let alone safely drive and be active.

Brian went and got everything for me, without me even asking, and came home and assembled it all!  At that point, I was feeling fine, but he wouldn't let me lift a finger and had me rest.  While he was at it, he went and assembled the crib and changing top to the dresser!

I'm very pleased.  The nursery is really coming together.  Sadly, I need to keep the room closed off until the crib tent arrives.  Our cats love to sleep in closed, confined spaces and boxes, so I'm sure they would love to adopt the baby's crib.  I've been reading up on how to properly get your pet cats prepared for a new baby, and the general advice is to make sure the crib is unattractive/unattainable from the beginning, yet let the cats have access to the general area so they become accustomed to the nursery.  Since Shima loves tape (she goes out of her way to lick and eat it), and Shiro likes being sprayed with water and enjoys "scary" noises (crinkled tinfoil and plastic bags are her favorite toys), the usual methods of deterring cats is not an option for us.

The bedding set for the crib is back-ordered for another month.  * sigh *  I'll just have to be patient.
