Never a Dull Moment
This past week has got to be one of the craziest weeks that I have gone through in awhile. I am so glad that it's almost over. Hopefully, the craziness won't extend into next week. Here's what we've been up to:
- As Steve already mentioned in his LJ, we were without power for 2.5 days. Let me tell you, you don't appreciate the little things (i.e. heat) until they are gone. We ended up sleeping in front of the fireplace for two nights and we were getting ready to leave Sunday morning when the electric company finally showed up. All in all, I guess we weren't the worst off. I can't believe that some people were still without power today. It still sucked though. Plus we had to clean up all the trees in our yard on Sunday.
- I think that the stress of it all ended up getting to me because I had to take a sick day on Tuesday. I almost never get sick so I was caught off guard.
- Yesterday's snow/ice storm was annoying, but I managed to get around safely. Yay 4 wheel drive! I have a feeling that this winter is going to be pretty crazy.
- I finally finished my Christmas shopping today. I was really stressed about it the last few weeks. I am so relieved that it is finally done. I think I need to trim down my list next year. Heh. Yeah, right.
- I went to relax tonight for the first time all day when Fonzi started peeing on the love seat. I was so upset with him! It happened last month too. I thought it was behavioral/territorial. However, he peed on one of his toys a few minutes later so I am thinking that he is sick. He is going to the vet first thing tomorrow. Hopefully, it's nothing serious. Maybe just a urinary tract infection. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
- I only have to work for three hours tomorrow because of the impending storm. Yay! I am not usually a snow fan, but I could really use a break.
