Yay for long weekends! It's too bad they have to come to an end. At least we have a short week to get through now. Only three days until next weekend...am I pathetic or what? On to my weekly blurbs:
- We met Heather for dinner on Friday night. It was nice catching up with her. We hadn't gotten together for awhile.
- Saturday was a do-nothing day for us. The weeks get so crazy that we need a day to recoup every now and then.
- We had some of Steve's family over for a small bbq on Sunday. It was a good excuse to move the patio furniture back on to the deck and to use the grill again. We also played some Mario Kart with Jeremy and Beth.
- Yesterday was my "planting day". I wanted to do something with the yard because we haven't done much since we have moved here. I had it in my head that I was going to pick up a bunch of plants and shrubs at Home Depot and get it all done in one day. Hahahaha. Little did I know that I could barely plant some flowers (even with help from Steve's mom). I ended up recruiting her to help me and I was glad that I did. We picked up some nice flowers from some local garden centers. My allergies didn't take long to kick in. The wind was gusty and blowing stuff around like crazy. I couldn't stop sneezing and I used a half a box of tissues. By the time we got home, I was pretty useless. Luckily, Steve was able to come out and help us. I guess I am not meant to be a gardener. I will try though. I am not ready to give in yet. Maybe I will wear one of those dorky masks next time. Next step: pick out some shrubs for the front of the house with some help from a professional (my brother-in-law).
- I am going to the doctor's for an ultrasound tomorrow. My body has been messed up since last November. Hopefully, I will get some answers. I am a bit nervous.
- Only 4 weeks until summer vacation. Now that Memorial Day has come and gone, the countdown begins!
