The mess is spread quite liberally throughout a series of rooms in the mansion, following a trail of gore that simply grows more and more gruesome as you move from one victim to the next.

At first it just looks like a swirl of dust passing a window. After a moment, though, there may be a vague shape to it, small and unassuming and solidifying until, standing just out from behind a couch, there is a little boy.
