i'm sorry to all of you who i haven't been able to spend time with lately.
last week i was in upstate new york, next week i'll be in north carolina, and this week i've been kind of an emotional wreck for an assortment of reasons. trust me in saying that i'll be okay, and that i'd prefer not to elaborate, but it has to do with my grandmother and her failing health.
hopefully i'll see all of you before you leave for college, if that's where you're going, or before i leave for washington and/or college.
i love you all!
it looks as though i will in fact need someone to drive with me to olympia. most likely it will take from five days (if we do nothing but drive and sleep) to a week or two (if we go sightseeing or hiking). it will be in my '94 mazda protege after it has been fixed up. my two cats, gigi and lucy, will be in a homemade cat house in the backseat of the car. there will be very little space for luggage, enough for a couple extra suitcases/duffles perhaps, and food. we will share gas costs. the trip will take place between the middle and the end of august; it needs to be someone with a license, who is a good driver, and whom i can spend that much constant time with. i need to start making plans as soon as possible...so i need people's offers by the end of this week, if possible.
the only restraint is that i don't have solid plans about how said accompaniment would return to massachusetts, or new york, or wherever they need to go after the trip is over. the proposed plan was for me/my funds to pay for a plane ticket back. mind you, it would be on probably the least comfortable of times and have stopovers, because it's already the end of july, and the ticket would need to be for the end of august. unfortunately this increases plane fares dramatically, hence the reason for my wondering how it will work.
if any of you know people who are driving out to washington and/or anywhere on the west coast, or need to get there, or would be willing, able and good for a driving companion, please spread the word to them too!
love,
peace,
jenn
