One week down
Three more to go.
Last Friday, I drove my sons over for the month-long visit with their Dad. It was a busy week, trying to keep up with work and appointments to get the braces squared away and the acne pills taken care of for the month, and so on and so forth.
It was even an incredibly busy weekend following the dropoff, as I worked for the next several days. I was ready for my two-day break when it rolled around. I like staying as busy as I do, as it keeps my mind off missing the boys so much. For some reason, as they’ve gotten older, it’s gotten a LOT harder on me to let them go than it ever was when they were younger. Don’t ask me why; I figure it’s because when they were younger, they were much more of a handful than they are now, and I was ready for the break. And now that they’re older, it has become more apparent to me than ever that VERY soon, they’ll be grown and living on their own. And I don’t want to even think about that right now!
Already, there has been an accident. (Everyone is okay). In the coming weeks, I expect drama of epic proportions. There always is. Breathe, mama, breathe! Deep, cleansing breaths!

At least there is a much, MUCH-anticipated new episode of True Blood this Sunday. I so look forward to a hot bubble bath after work, donning my comfy flannel pjs, sipping a cool glass of bubbly, and snuggling in to spend some time with Eric…….
