Trumpsky continues to fuck up foreign policy !
Jackson Diehl has a good op-ed in the Post today. After listing ALL the ways The Donald recently screwed up our relations with a half-dozen countries, he writes:
"This month, the president picked a new target [for his ire], Mexico, which he showered with threats of tariffs and demands that it instantly shut down the flow of migrants and drugs across the border, before accepting a COSMETIC (my caps!) settlement."
Discussing Trumpsky's tactics, Diehl says: "...Shunning coordination with allies or Congress, he adopts dramatic measures that he supposes will quickly force a result: oil embargoes, tariffs, threats of military action."
Needless to remind you lovely readers, all of them fail.
"What’s left behind is a string of foreign policy bankruptcies, much like the serial real estate failures that used to be Trump’s detritus...."
