Another godawful day in American politics
I'd REALLY prefer to post tonight about my sexual adventures since being kicked off Tumblr a couple of months ago.
But Trumpsky has got under my skin AGAIN, both for what his minion, AG Barr, foisted upon us regarding the Mueller report (see preceding post) and for TWO outrageous personal decisions: (1) to punish what he calls "treasonous" DOJ actions in support of the Mueller investigation; and (2) to take legal action opposing the entire Obamacare program.
The first is plain crazy, not least because it will damage his minion's not-ineffectual effort to rally the Trumpsky camp vis-a-vis Mueller. The Orange Reptile is, indeed, his own worst enemy.
And that's even more true for his call to support a court challenge to the ACA -- having lost 2017's inglorous anti-Obamacare effort in the Senate (thanks again, Sen, McCain!), Trumpsky will now try to undo healthcare for millions of Americans by, in effect, spiking DOJ-s routine defense of "the law of the land".
According to MSNBC reporting tonight, even AG Barr and the Secretary of Health/Human Services privately opposed Trumpsky's decision, which will cost tens of millions their insurance under ACA. Yet worse, he plans to deep-six ACA's very popular ban on private insurers' denying coverage on "pre-existing conditions" AND to permit people younger than 26 to remain under their parents' coverage. Those two ACA provisions affect medical-care prospects of
literally hundreds of millions of our citizens.
Again, his cynical move is going to assure that healthcare will drive the 2020 campaigns, from local and Congressional races to the Presidential shoot-out. As were many in midterms in 2018, not a few Repubs will be demolished -- only saving their seats if they abandon Trumpsky.
