I happily posted three days ago as Mueller's vaunted report went to AG Barr. Alas, we now have Barr's take on the 22-month-long inquiry -- and the news is NOT good.
Barr says Trumpsky didn't exactly "collude" with Putin & Co. (All the legal eagles for many months insist there no actual crime called "collusion" -- conspiracy, maybe -- so how come the lawyerly Barr uses the word?)
Barr claims that "obstruction of justice" (e.g. Trumpsky sacking AG Sessions and FBI director) was not proved, nor was it disproved. Mueller left it for Barr and/or DAG Rosenstein to call -- based presumably on evidence assembled by Mueller.
This "judgment call" by Barr is, of course, exactly WHY Trumpsky named Barr in the first place. (Barr had written/spoken against the Mueller investigation before he was named, and his Senate confirmation concentrated on this aspect.)
Big question remains: when does Congress and the public get to see the actual text of the Mueller report. How much will be withheld as grand-jury secrecy or sensitive national security by Barr?
