The BDSMLR community, such as it is
I've told you sweet folowers that I was more or less forced out of Tumblr, as it tries to become "respectable" (and sneers at its tens of millions of naughty-minded users).
Many of us have relocated to a formerly tiny community called "bdsmlr.com" (the 5th and 6th letters have nothing to do with sex, I gather, but simply seek to parody Tumblr).
The site's been hard-pressed to accomodate the millions of ex-tumblrs in the past couple of months. It still doesn't work very well, but it's boggling to see how many members proclaim themselves "tumblr refugees" or other fuck-you expressions.
There's much over-the-top stuff, including a shocking number of enthusiasts for violent, mainly mysogynist sex -- a fair number not shrinking from the word "rape." ("Consent" is not totally ignored, but there's some resentment of such political correctness.) There also is a regrettable undercurrent of racism, as supposedly marauding black studs threaten women with all sorts of mayhem.
And yet there is lots of good, open discussion about every kink ever fantasized, some of which I've never imagined in my most desperate moods. Orgasm denial is literally a big deal; sure, I've done subbie scenes where one isn't allowed to cum until the next morning -- but some folks there are talking about months, even years of enforced chastity!
