Deutsch, English, it's all good. You got "yelled" at for talking too much German? Oh please? Some ppl make issues were there are none. (rolls eyes). I personally rather write in English, because I can express myself better, having been here for 14 yrs. I read German perfectly, I still write German very well, but when I speak, I search for certain words quite often. So whatever floats your boat and whatever language you choose is fine with me.
Yep, still currently living in Cali., but prolly will be moving to Austin, Texas in the near future. I was married to a Ami that was stationed in my home town. He got orders back to the States, landed in Fayetteville, NC for a couple of years. Marriage failed, but I didn't want to move back to Germany, so I moved with my then-boyfriend to Colorado. Stayed there for the past 8 yrs and now live for the last 3 1/2 yrs in CA (don't like it so much. CO was soo much better. I'm just a Heidi mountain girl (or goat, if you believe my boyfriend).
How'bout you? What brought you to the States? I saw that you are an animal control officer in AZ. Durn. I don't envy you having to deal with all the horrible things you guys need to deal with. If you checked out my profile you probably saw that I'm very involved in animal-rights/animal-welfare/environmentalism. What brought you to become an animal control officer? How long have you been doing this? Are there any special requirements for a permanent alien to become an ACO? (Not that I could do that. Nope, no way. I'd get too emotional and vindictive. You hurt another being, well, let me show you how that feels.
