And just when Percy got used to nice!Mordred, and was so happy to have met him. Well, this is a bit of a blow. But he doesn't know what's wrong, just at the moment; all he can tell is that something's not the way it should be. So he does what seems best, and beams a friendly, sweet Percy smile at Mordred.
"Look, I don't know what's wrong, and it's not my business--Heli will tell you that in a moment, things usually aren't--but really, if there's something wrong, I don't mind listening. I am a good listener. And we can have strawberries while you talk. They're coming in like crazy."
"That sounds wonderful," looking at Mordred hopefully, and friendly, and welcoming. "Come and have with us, won't you? We won't even make you talk, but strawberries and cream are good for anything."
Mordred is more than a little baffled. He's prepared to deal with many things, but not with being matter-of-factly offered breakfast by dead girls and their last-seen-questing brothers. He starts to answer, and gives it up again.
"Hullo. Are you all right?"
