Winsol! (Open Post)

The decorations are still up, and in a large open room somewhere in the Mansion, Jaenelle's set up a party. It's a curious melding of Christmas (or what she knows of it) and Winsol, with a tree in one corner, presents stacked underneath. The music playing, however, is pure Blood, food is laid out, and the cup is somewhere for all involved to share

Sugar wanders in, with Sophie. Both are in a good mood, happy and relaxed... and they wonder what this is all about, but they are looking forward to seeing their friends of the Blood.

Arianna comes barrelling over and hugattacks Sophie. "Sophie Sophie Sophie! It's Winsol!" She seizes her friend's hand and is going to tug her over to the tree. "Come on, I need to give you your present."

Sophie hugs back, grinning, and follows Ariana dutifully. "Oh, oh, there's a present for me? What is it?"

"I can't tell you, it's a surprise, you have to unwrap it." Still tugging. "But it's a good present, and I hope you'll like it, I really do."

Sophie grins, and is happily tugged along.

"Oh, you are the bestest friend. But..." She's embarrassed. "I don't have a present for you..."

"That's all right! You came to the party."

[crimson_sugar]

"You are too nice. I missed you!" And have another hug. Really.

[cuddlemequeen]

A hug back. "I missed you too."

[crimson_sugar]

"So, so, tell me, what have you been doing????" Sophie wants to know.

[cuddlemequeen]

"Mama's making me stay inside, she thinks I'll get cold in the snow or something. Mostly I've just been inside doing things, what about you?"

[crimson_sugar]

"Oh, I have a lot of classes. Auntie Sugar says it's what a young lady needs - a lot of instruction. But I have a new uncle, and I have Sunday school, now."

[cuddlemequeen]

"You have a new uncle? And what's Sunday School?"

[crimson_sugar]

"I do. He's really tall." She makes this exaggerated demonstration. "Taller than the Michaelmas tree. And he sleeps a lot, but he is really nice, except he cries, sometimes."

[cuddlemequeen]

She frowns a little. "Maybe he's sick."

[crimson_sugar]

"I don't know. I hope not. But my Papa was sick, and he was acting strangely too."

Adults are so weird.

"I can ask my Mama to heal him, if you want."
