A little boy, no more than eleven or so, enters the mansion. He is dressed like a proper English schoolboy from the turn of the century, in short trousers and long stockings, with a cap on his head. With a content smile, (breakfast was excellent this morning) Professor Kirke walks in to discover the boy. "Why, hello! Who have you lost?"

As chance would have it, this king of goblins and faerie happens to be passing through the mansion and cannot help but notice the little boy; children, after all, have been his specialty in the past though that involved turning the unwanted ones into goblins, and children, if they are human at least, shouldn't be wandering alone through the mansion, in his mind.

He pauses on his path toward the closet's plothole to watch him for a moment, then finally asks, "... Are you new here?"

Chris gets up from under the sofa and looks at Jareth, his head tilted to one side like a bird. "New? I don't think so. Have you seen a hobgoblin?"

"Oh. Puck doesn't smell. Or he does smell but he smells like leaves and good things. We were playing a game and now I don't know where he went." He keeps looking at Jareth. "What sort of fairy are you?"
