Crackplot! Because gods shouldn't be allowed to be bored.

As everyone knows, tea is sort of the staple of life around the Mansion. And some ruthless being has gone right to the source. Most of the tea is still in its neat little boxes, not conveniently laid out, because we all know how people adapt (and gods don't play fair), but anyone desiring their breakfast beverage of choice may find it does a little ( Read more... )

*And because his typist is really kinda mean, Galahad walks in and makes himself a nice cup of green tea, sipping at it*

Because her typist is not mean, not at all, of course not, Cimorene has come back up to the Mansion to get a couple more out of season foodstuffs for the cottage. She doesn't have anything to drink, but while she's in the kitchen anyway, makes herself a piece of toast with jam and butter. Strawberry jam, naturally.

She notices Galahad with his tea. "Every time I think I've met all the knights, there are more of them."

Percy is doing an odds and ends search, and he hears her voice while passing the kitchen and stops, poking his head in. "--Cimorene?"

She looks up and gives him a small smile. "Morning. I was just getting some more strawberries, since they were good." She has a smudge of jam on her nose, but perhaps more noticeably, she looks very pretty this morning. Much moreso than usual, though it's hard to put a finger on why.

We're going to assume that this isn't solely physical attractiveness that's being spoken of, as it wouldn't really have much of an effect on a Percy except to make him blush a lot; but as it is, he does blush and also swallows hard. "--Yeah. They. um."

She raises her eyebrows. "Is anything wrong? If you'd rather, we can have something else."

"Um, no. It's fine." He laughs, with vast embarrassment, and ducks out of the room to lean against the wall outside and try to get his head back.

Well, Cimorene's not going to let that go. She follows him out a minute later, asking with real worry, "Percy, are you alright?"

Erk. "I'm fine! I'm fine, don't worry." Another blush, and he looks down at his feet.

"You're acting kind of odd." She puts a hand on his arm. "Is something upsetting you?"

At the touch he shivers, and then, with vast, tender shyness, puts his other hand at her waist and kisses her.

Her eyes widen in surprise at first, but after a moment, she kisses him back, softly, her other hand going lightly to his cheek.

He holds her close but very gentle, and after the kiss swallows again and looks at her a little fearfully. "I'm--"

"Percy..." Her voice is slightly breathless, but she looks uncertain. "I thought you didn't want..."

"I--" He knows there's something wrong, but the magic's such that he can't place it, and he doesn't really know anything quite except that the stirring of romantic love he had for her before is overwhelming now, and though sex is still totally gross and squicky, kissing isn't (and She's only at the back of his mind, but he remembers how she always wanted him to kiss her properly, she always said properly--) and he just shakes his head a little helplessly and kisses her again, doing his best to make it properly, the way She always loved.

Cimorene makes a soft noise of surprise and pleasure, as no one's ever kissed her this way before. The blood rushes to her face a little, but she can't help kissing him back, harder in response to his intensity.

But she's not enchanted, and she breaks away just far enough to say, voice a bit thicker, "Percy - this is..." She tries to think. "What changed?"
