Feelin hot hot hot!
It is quite hot and very sticky in the Caribbean. The AC had me fooled all this time. It is actually hotter inside my apartment than it is outside. It takes 3 fans, all aimed at me from various angles and all set on their highest levels, to keep me cool enough to not want to scream and fidget. It was, at one point today, bad enough that I contemplated stripping down to my underwear. Unfortunately I have neighbors who knock at all times and I don't fancy greeting them in such a state of undress.
Now that I have survived 1 full day without the AC, I can't fathom how people in third world countries live without it for months on end. It is absolutely miserable to sit in this weather and attempt to study. I am definitely greatful that the repairmen will be back Monday with the required part. At least, I sincerely hope they will be back and will have my AC fixed and running by the time I am home. Cross your fingers for me!
37 days and 19 hours before I'm on my way back to the frigid northeast! :)
