Markez is officially driving me nuts. I know that sounds like nothing unusual, but believe me, this is above and beyond his usual wildness. The coming end of summer seems to have instilled the need in him to outdo himself in every possible way. He's broken three things with his running around, two of them before six this morning. He's lucky they weren't anything too important. He's spent a lot of time outside, but he keeps running back in and around as well, and always at full volume.

Of course, his running around has gotten Garnet running around as well, trying to follow him outside to play. He wants nothing to do with that, of course. She is, after all, a girl and a little kid. We'll have to take her to the park here soon so she's not too disappointed. That sounds like a good idea in more than one way. We just have to not tell Markez where we're going. Is that mean?

With school getting closer, I'm trying to distract myself from it all. It's not easy, considering. But Rafiq seems all right with it for the most part, so I'm trying to channel him a little. I'm not sure how well it's working, but I suppose I'll find out. Of course, having Markez home all the time will be a big distraction when it all starts. I might not be able to think straight at all then.

And since Markez has come in deciding to run around yelling and demanding food, I really can't think well enough to even write at the moment. And there goes Amber. I think he just broke something in the kitchen. This could, at least, get interesting. I suppose I should make sure things don't get too ugly. Either that or I'll take Garnet to the park now. That might be the thing to do.
