It only took me an entire month to read A Lion Among Men. And now that I'm finally finished with it, I have to wonder why I read it in the first place. I honestly am beginning to think that Maguire has no idea how to wrap up a story, or even progress a story in any appreciable way. Wicked was clearly a fluke.

Can anyone suggest a good/affordable protein powder for use in shakes? I had no idea there were so damn many out there. The choices are a bit overwhelming. I'm going grocery shopping on Saturday afternoon, and would love to pick up some for use pre-workout during the weekdays.

After The Deathly Hallows, I (quickly) revisited the first Harry Potter book. It took me about a single afternoon, so I kind of feel guilty for listing it, but whatever. I finished Little Children the other day. It was a pretty satisfying read. Perfect for the summertime. I wish the film hadn't changed the ending, though. I found the ending in the novel to be far more realistic and satisfying, but I guess they felt they needed that extra dramatic push. I totally got sick at King's Island today. I've never gotten sick because of rides before. And to be honest, I didn't really today either. It was just too hot for me. Also, I have to get a new Driver's License before Saturday, but I woke up from my nap with a fever blister on my lip.

Turns out that I've lost a bunch of weight from this time last year without even realizing it. Good times, I guess.
