Unusually awake, but for how long?
Usually on Saturdays, I'm passed out in bed, sleeping off the workweek. Been hoping that after dropping my bus driving job that would be less so, but I'm still feeling near the same level of exhaustion by the time Friday rolls around. It hasn't seemed weird to me, but lately more than one person has commented that it's perhaps troubling, as is my monthly total deflation of all energy just as my period arrives. So, mentioning it to my doctor next week.
Anyway, today I only slept a little late, and then my friend J., who just came back from teaching abroad and is living with me while he finds work, and I went to my office. I edited his most recent cover letter while he culled and reorganized all of my space in there. Guys, it is so beautiful now. I can't wait to go back in tomorrow and do work in that beautiful office!
Work is going well enough. A lot of challenges with fundraising and recruiting and finding some way to make the board useful, but that's always been the case in the office, so I'm dealing. Did I mention my office is splendiferous now?
Fannishly, I got my summergen in on time last month, which is unusual. Someone won a fic from me in a recent charity auction (a dubious prize, I know), so that's on my docket. And I owe a couple of podfics as well to various awesome people. I really want to write Broadchurch fic soon. ("You can be my first video conference." *dies crying*)
They're announcing the new Doctor tomorrow. I am prepared to like him, whoever he is. Or she, y'know.
Wincon is so soon! I am very happy to be seeing everyone again in Vegas! So, so, so cannot wait! Who else is coming?
Time to clean my place and maybe eat some ice cream.
