Ohno-san is often jokingly teased to be lacking domineering qualities, in what situation does he show his determination?
Matsumoto: We’ve been together for about 8 years, I’ve never seen it before (laugh)
Really?
Aiba: (laugh) I saw it yesterday though.
Sakurai: What, what, why?
Aiba: Yeah. We were doing the anti-gravity experiment program (laugh), and he was so into it.
Matsumoto: Like he had a lot of fun?
Aiba: Because of the plane condition, we could only go for 7 times. But he kept saying “let’s do it again, let’s do it again”, he was like an elementary-schooler (laugh)
Sakurai: He likes it huh, things like that.
Ninomiya: When he finds something he likes, he’ll ke~ep doing it.
Aiba: Monkey, he’s like a monkey! But, he’s become more proactive recently.
In what situation do you feel that he’s being proactive?
Sakurai: Because he was really passive at first (laugh)
Ninomiya: Yeah. At first it was like he gave up from the start. No matter what he does.
When you say “at first”, does it mean the period when you first debuted?
Sakurai: Yes.
Aiba: It was rare. Not having any motivation from the start.
Ninomiya: Now, he’s no longer disregarding everything from the beginning, and has become more proactive, I guess?
Even so, everyone of you like Ohno-san very much I suppose.
Aiba: We like him very much, all of us.
What do you like about him?
Ninomiya: That he doesn’t have domineering qualities.
Sakurai: Ahahahaha
Aiba: (laugh) It’s better not to have it.
Ninomiya: In his case, right?
Sakurai: A new type of idol. Idols should have ever-enthusiastic qualities right? Idols should be like “Eager Columbus”, typically.
Ninomiya: Yes. It’s better to be like “Yeay! Yeay!” all the time.
Sakurai: Not being enthusiastic, he’s totally unconventional (laugh)
Matsumoto: Then there’s him being slow and unwavered, though he’s the leader but he doesn’t lead at all, and that’s a good thing (laugh)
Ninomiya: There are people who show leadership qualities, but this doesn’t mean that they are restricted to the people who are not the acting leader.
Aiba: Yes indeed.
Matsumoto: For us, the one who does not show leadership qualities is our leader.
Sakurai: A new type of leader (laugh)
Ninomiya: So original.
Aiba: This guy is like, floating light.
Sakurai: Anti-gravity right?
Aiba: Yes. He’s totally anti-gravity. I think that’s wonderful of him.
