This is the opening to my nano, kinda like a prologue except not separated from the first chapter by more then a scene break.   Felt the urge to post it for no apparent reason.  Boredom?

This was originally only half as long as it is now, starting in about the middle, but I felt the start was to jilted/sudden and added a whole like...five paragraphs to the start, making it a direct continuation of Of Towering Things might want to read that first. both are mini stories that take place before my '10 nano Horizon Lines, though ( Read more... )

This is an extra scene from my nano novel (Dark Divisions book one, Horizon Lines), it was originally a flash back one of the two main characters has when thinking about how he met a close friend, but was cut due to not fitting in anywhere, and not really being needed.  I still really like the scene, and have since written a few other scenes to go ( Read more... )
