Mahatma Gandhi was once asked his opinion of Western Civilization. He said he was all for it. I find it hard to believe anyone can be called civilized in a world where things like this happen. Even if we take only little steps, we've done something. And enough little steps might get us all the way around the world.

I understand that abortion is a difficult and contentious issue with a lot of angry dogma on both sides, but I think we can all agree that things like this have to stop ( Read more... )

So much going on and I've had nothing to say for awhile. Hurricane Gustav threatened New Orleans, but NOLA was spared a full replay of the horror of Katrina.
