Except it sucks.

We are getting a new phone system at work that includes lots of automated recordings offering you things and advising buttons for you to press and reminding you your call is important. The AAHS is at the point, as an organization, where we have to miraculously come up with more space for cats, or start euthanizing healthy, adoptable cats and kittens. We have stayed at 0% healthy adoptable euthanasia since January, and we've decided to fight to stay that way ( Read more... )

Every once in a while, I get to name cats at work for little in-jokes of mine.

I finally got the chance on a LARP one I've had in mind for a while...

I don't know what I did to my shoulder, but it hurts so bad I can't think about anything else and I can't see straight. I don't want to go to work tomorrow :(

This weekend was awesome!

I euthanized a couple of kittens for the first time today and it was really rough. Feeling the warmth and pliability of their limp bodies in my hands was what sent me over the edge into tears.
