In the Shadow of the Silk Road. By Colin Thubron. Calling this a "Travel" book is like calling Kerouac's On the Road a "Travel" book. This book is f**king amazing. This was an amazingly productive reading weekend, even for me. I read FIVE books!

I read the His Dark Materials trilogy: The Golden Gompass, The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass. I'd read them before, several years ago, but I missed SO many details that time!
