Torchwood 2x10: From Out of the Rain
Spoilers for the episode that aired on BBC THREE. My thoughts on the BBC TWO ep are here.
Well, there was no Jack/Gwen. We can all breathe a collective sigh of relief.
I love how Ianto is so prominent in this episode and how they gave him lots of tiny nuggets of character development (Ianto's dad took him to the cinema on Saturdays. He definitely has some kind of history with that psychiatric hospital), though annoyingly it's still not his episode. It is, if anything, a Jack and Ianto episode (though not a Jack/Ianto episode).
I felt it was a little bit repetitive, though I'm not sure why. Some bits dragged on a bit.
I really wanted Ianto to get his last breath stolen. Now I really hope it happens in Season 3, or at the end of 2, because they have to come back! We've seen the reel!
Altogether - very watchable, but ultimately filler. Bring on finale times!!
NEXT WEEK: Gwen does something she shouldn't. Big surprise. PC ANDY! (appears. Gwen doesn't do him. Well, she might, but that would pretty damn unlikely. Ianto could. *brain goes to happy place*)
