(no subject)
Because, okay, I had FEELINGS about this season premiere, and it's fairly surprising to me because, well, I didn't have many feelings about the show in general by the time it ended its first season. I didn't even plan on watching this? And then I saw gifs and reactions were good, so I thought, okay. And, my God.
Right, so, I think my biggest observation and take away from this episode is that, for once, we saw Harvey care, really openly, for Mike. Not saying he didn't care for him from the very beginning, but I thought their relationship was very unbalanced during S1, and Harvey didn't give nearly as much as Mike did in it which, considering the character, made sense, but I found it a bit tiresome (not as much as the whole 'who's got the biggest' thing going on between them and Louis, though).
But in this episode, what. From the refusing to fire Mike (telling him he's proud of him, oh my god ♥__♥), to the gentle mocking of Mike's panic to calm him down (which works), to telling Jessica 'if he goes, I go', I don't know, you guys, my heart EXPLODED, and I went in search of good, satisfying, long Suits fic right after (when I've not managed to read Suits fic at all during S1, despite trying).
I also used to find Mike a liiiiiiiittle wet blanket-y before, but his confrontations with Trevor and Jenny were great and he didn't fold, and I liked that. And I really liked Jenny at the beginning of the show, but Rachel quickly won out so I'm glad this might actually be happening AT SOME POINT. I'm not holding my breath (although, Donna, you know, &Donna;).
Soooooooo yeah. More Mike and Harvey caring for each other and being badass, more Jessica being a BAMF, less Louis, more punching Trevor in the face, and I'll be a happy bunny.
