I miss you commas

I made some espresso/raspberry/chocolate/vegan brownies for my mom for her birthday today. They turned out really good (I think).
I also started my internship on Monday. I'm pretty excited about it even though it's unpaid. I am going to be working on this project called NABRS (don't ask me what it stands for) where we are developing a list of 20 indicators of sustainability within neighborhoods. Then we survey people who live in the neighborhood to see what the overall sustainability score is. Apparently Sustainable Seattle (the non-prof that's organizing this project) has been giving grant money so that at the end of the summer we can decide on a neighborhood improvement project and then implement it (it's stuff like community gardens). I sort of stumbled on this internship just by randomly e-mailing Sustainable Seattle.
I might be doing another less intensive internship for this non-prof that educates people about sustainable agriculture/gardening. So...at least I am being productive even if I dont have any money right?
Malaya and I hung out the other night at Hopvine on Capitol Hill. We had a good time talking about sex and then when we were leaving the bartender gave us our bill minus two of our four drinks. Earlier I had mentioned I was unemployed when he gave me more booze than I had ordered so I appreciated the extra and when he gave us the bill he said something like good luck finding a job. It was so unaccountably nice. Honestly (I was telling Malaya) hardly anyone ever does stuff like that without some kind of ulterior motive (like sex). It was really rad. It made me feel really connected with other people.
However when I was going home the next day I received a ticket for riding my bicycle without a helmet (I should add that I had a helmet but I was on the sidewalk so I wasn't wearing it).  I was so irritated and disgusted that I lied and told him I didn't have any ID on me and then proceeded to give him false information so that the ticket would basically be worthless. I think he knew but couldn't really prove anything. Giving me a ticket is not going to make me follow the "law".
