Mom called Friday night and was worried about us being in the trailer is the hurricanes was still as strong as everyone was saying it would be. So, Saturday we went over to their house around noon and hung out until around 8pm. We ate lunch and dinner with them and in between we watched Meet the Robinsons, Burn Notice and Tremors 4. and made carmel brownies. It was lots of fun. I think everyone took a nap at some point. It was a total non-event for Dallas. Just a lot of nice, cool drisel.
Today was all about the laundry. I went this evening to Mom's to do menus. I think we are going to do the South Beach thing again. I need to cut down on my carb anyway. I have been increasing my veggies all week. She's going to go shopping tomorro and I'll be cooking for all of us. She's going to pick up supper from me on the way home.
I did finish Brab Meltzer's Book of Lies Saturday. It was excellent. The description grabbed me. It talked about Cain and Abel and the death of Mitchell Siegel, the father of the creator of Superman. Evidently there is a real mystery there that caught Mr. Meltzer's imagination. It was a great read with twists and turns. I'll have to read more of his books.
