Ants who work hard will have more / Ants who have more must work more...

I am very exhausted right now.

Second weekend of Insect Comedy was fairly annoying and fairly painful to get through, just like the first weekend. Thank god for friends in the cast to keep each other sane. Strike was a ton of fun as always, I had a better time during strike than I did during most of the run. Big highlight for me was doing the Platform Stack. To summerize, We stack all of our platforms from biggest to smallest because we don't have that much storage space. Me and Kenny got on top of the pile and everyone passed the platforms up to us. It's lots of fun stacking platforms and trying to keep your balance and not fall off (techies being unsafe- the reason I started doing theatre). At the end, Mark tosses up a highlighter and we wrote our names on the wall to commemorate the occasion. Me and Kenny are listed as Team Awesome. The night was ended at IHOP for tastey food things.

Classes ended last monday, but I spent reading day teching the Dance For Social Justice Show. The afternoon run through went perfectly. So of course, two minutes after the show starts a dance knocks into the DVD player and jams the tray and we have to stall the show to find another way to get the sound to work. We got it to work, but we had to play it through the computer so the sound quality wasn't as great as it was during the run through. But very annoying and very embarassing technical difficulties, the show was wonderful. I wish I got to see those dances more cuz some of them were great. The ones that left an ever-lasting impact (out of the two times I watched them): Chelsea's, Anna's, Brie's, Erica's, and Whitney's. THose are just the dances I remember off the top of my head. It was a great show to end a semestar of dance. I hope next year's directed study show is just as great.

I spent all of last week working on my final drecting scene. I directed a ten minute scene from Steve Martin's Picass at the Lapin Agile. I've been waiting since '04 to do something with this show, and now I got my chance. My cast worked really hard in the short time that they had. The scene was performed earlier today and I think they did great. They got some great laughs from the crwod, which is the only reward I can ask for (well...that and an A+). And all together, most of the directing scenes weren't that painful. The first one was: the scene was suppose to be ten minutes, it went on for twenty. We all slmost killed the director of that one. Oh, and some wise-ass felt the need to direct a scene from a show I designed in February. Fucking jackass making me sit through that again, and his cast sucked hardcore compared to Lauren!

In my downtime last week I spent most of it with Sleepy and Norm. They introduced me to the glory that is rifftrax.com. I highly recomend to everyone. Lots more crazy antics to have with those two.

Jocelyn had a party on saturday night. A house full of theatre and dance people...and Nick. What more could you ask for? It was a great time full of good people. Hopfully I get to see them some more before I take off.

I have one more final tomorrow on blackboard, so I don't have to go to campus tomorrow which is always a plus. And what better way to celebrate the start of summer than by going to see Children of Bodom at the House of Blues! Yeah!

JOCELYN: What would you do if I rolled down here into the parking lot?
LACEY: I would pee my pants, you know, while I try to help you up of course.
ME: Try not to get pee on her.

CHRIS: Don't judge me.
ME: I do...constantly

JASON: Trans-dimensional Baby Bonnets, by DYNAGON!
