VII: Silver, too

[Vergil's white hair blends in nicely with the fog, the Sphere picking up on him calmly watching as two vampires come towards him. On catching sight of him, both react differently. One hisses, and the female full-out screams, but the end result is the same---they both turn and run like Hell itself is on their tail.]

Almost makes me homesick.

Count all of them? That's pretty funny!

I think I remember something like that from back home too, 'scept it was throwing rice so they'll be stuck counting until the sun rises-kamo! Not sure if they were talking about vampires or not, though...

Rice would work very well. You're from Japan, aren't you? The defense of throwing rice likely originated in China. In Europe people would use millet or poppy seeds.

Unless vampires are very good at counting things, they'd be stuck for a long time.

I'm from the Houen Region! But yes, I speak and write Japanese, plus the international language, which is based on Japanese anyway, but I don't know if anybody here's ever even heard of it-kamo...

Wow, that's really cool-kamo! From China? Like, like ramen...?! [is she drooling, not to mention blushing, at the idea?

three shakes of her head and she's back to normal.]

... Poppies are pretty, if I had some seeds, I'd probably plant them-kamo!

[giggles] Being up all night and sleeping all day long probably never got them through elementary school. Unless they turned into vampires later on or have their own special nighttime classes...

I haven't seen any seeds to plant here, but I haven't looked, either. I wonder if they would grow?

You do know that they have ramen in the restaurants here, right?

I wouldn't want to be the teacher of that school.
