[Vergil's white hair blends in nicely with the fog, the Sphere picking up on him calmly watching as two vampires come towards him. On catching sight of him, both react differently. One hisses, and the female full-out screams, but the end result is the same---they both turn and run like Hell itself is on their tail.]

As good an explanation as any, although I would be most impressed if the ship is imitating the stigma that white hair carries in my homeworld.

I think I remember something like that from back home too, 'scept it was throwing rice so they'll be stuck counting until the sun rises-kamo! Not sure if they were talking about vampires or not, though...

Rice would work very well. You're from Japan, aren't you? The defense of throwing rice likely originated in China. In Europe people would use millet or poppy seeds.

Unless vampires are very good at counting things, they'd be stuck for a long time.

I'm from the Houen Region! But yes, I speak and write Japanese, plus the international language, which is based on Japanese anyway, but I don't know if anybody here's ever even heard of it-kamo...

I haven't seen any seeds to plant here, but I haven't looked, either. I wonder if they would grow?

Those are rather unusual methods to ward off a vampire.

I suppose they don't have as much flair as chains of garlic or a stake through the heart.

Garlic certainly doesn't have a pleasant smell. Perhaps I'll test these methods myself. [Says the vampire. orz]
