I got a call from Crucial yesterday. Apparently they have tested my DIMMs and can not find any faults. The guy suggested that the problem was likely to be software related. I think I have just had the quietest weekend in ages.

Quite a bit was taken up reinstalling my Mac after, what I now know to be faulty memory DIMMs started to cause it to Kernel Panic (the Mac/Unix equivalent of Windows accursed Blue Screen of Death) so much that the file system on my main drive became well and truly screwed ( Read more... )
