Weetacon & IGIGI
So another Weetacon has come and gone and with it another wonderful IGIGI fashion show. This year we were strutting our stuff following dinner in the most amusing Japanese Style Steak House I’ve ever been in, mostly because there wasn’t a single Asian involved. But the venue aside there were some kickin’ dresses this year. My dress for the event was the Francesca Dress in black.
This is clearly a very versatile dress. A classic little black dress in all it's glory. It’s a poly blend and resists wrinkles completely. It came out of the suitcase on the return trip looking as good as it went in. It hangs well, feels very comfortable on and moves without binding. It’s fully lined and is a quality product. If this dress wears as well as my other IGIGI products it will be my prefered LBD for a long time to come.
I was at first a tad leery of the IGIGI site because when I do my measurements my bust is one size, waist another and hips yet again another. But at IGIGI they give you some silhouettes that do well in each dress. I’m a classic inverted triangle and I have yet to go wrong by looking at their site and using their measuring guide and making my selection based on their recommendation. In this case they said go with the bust size so I did. I’m always a bit worried with plunging necklines because I’m not as chestily endowed as many plus sized ladies. But by ordering the dress per their recommendation I was not disappointed. It fit well in the bust, was a little clingy through my wider middle bits but not so much that I was uncomfortable, then flaired nicely over my even larger bits.
If I was to have any complaint about the dress it would be the ¾ sleeves. They just simply aren’t my favorite. Plus as you can see in the photo, I really should have had a nice chunky necklace to go with it. This will definitely be worn over and over again.

I will admit that while I got a wonderful dress that I really will wear again and again, there were some gorgeous colorful patterns in some lovely styles which I didn’t get but are really, really appealing .
