45 Years - Can't Believe It
Yes, 45 years ago I was baprised by my Dad at the Old Chapel in Upminster. I do remember a lot about the day, a special time of confirming my faith. As Dad was taking the service I was able to chose 3 of the 4 hymns (Dad chose the first), and they were -
O Come all Ye Faithful
O Jesus, I have Promised, to serve Thee to the end Both Mum & Dad also had this hymn
Hark The Herals Angels Sing Still my favourite Carol
O the Bitter Shame & Sorrow
The Chapel is no longer a Chapel, but has been renovated as an Event's Centre -
This is the view if I was standing where the baptistry was and looking towards the door
So, can't believe that was 45 years ago!!! Where did those days go
