Life goes on
It's been ages since I updated. And frankly it's because life has been very sucky and dramatic.
Bailey was not well and was in hospital again. Seems that he now has a neck problem that can cause him pain. A slipped disc us the likely cause, pushing on his spine and causing his legs to be very unsteady. Nothing we can do for him because of all his other health issues, but he's doing ok at the moment.
Dad was in hospital a few weeks ago. Long story short he had a blockage in his left neck artery that needed surgery to fix. Thankfully it was caught in time and he is doing great. But while he was in one hospital, mum was in another!
So I have a nasty itchy rash all over my body caused by stress. Thankfully it is slowly getting better after lots of drugs & injections.
Which leaves me to my greatest heartbreak. Mum is not doing good at all, and is in fact dying. She had a skin graft on her leg the week dad was in hospital after a fall she had in January. Only had her home about twelve hours when she was back in with heart pains. She ended up having an angiogram which fixed her heart - the main artery was blocked top & bottom. But the contrast dye affected her kidneys even more.
She has turned a corner now though, but it's only a matter of time before her kidneys fail completely. She now has breathing troubles as well, so has to go into a high care facility. She really just wants to slip away peacefully one minute; & the next is talking about goals like getting out of bed & getting herself to the toilet.
Bottom line is that she's not going to get much better than what she is. Probably has less than 12 months. Just gotta take it one day at a time though
