I had a eventful weekend.
Friday night I got home from work to find
fairythree waiting for me, it was a wonderful surprise...ok it wasn't actually a surprise because I knew she was going to be there, but it still was wonderful.
Saturday morning Dad, Mom, Katie and I went to breakfast and then we started to get things together to make our way out to the Harley Davidson dealership in Burton, Mi. We were participating in a charity ride for the Rainbow Connection. It was a lot of fun. Katie rode with me on my motorcycle and Mom rode with Dad on his. There were almost 200 motorcycles in all. It was a Police escorted run from Burton to The Village Pub in Ortonville, Mi. We took a long route...including the police escorts getting lost. The ride in all was around 75 miles. It would not have been as bad if it were not for the fact that we were riding in 93 degree heat. I still had a blast though. After wards Katie and I went back to Waterford to get My pickup then it was back to Ypsi to reclaim Alison from Katie's parents. Turned out that Katie got a bit too much sun and started to get sick. Ya know, the whole pale skin, nausea, dizziness, headache, fever, sore, and tired as all get out. All the side effects with heat stroke. After Alison went to bed I made dinner for Katie and I and I got her something comfortable to wear. Then I let her rest on the couch with some Gatoraid while I cleaned up some. She passed out...don't blame her, I have had the effects of heat stroke many times. I didn't want to wake her so I left her asleep on the couch and I slept on the floor next to the couch. That way I could wake up every couple hours and check on her.
Sunday was Father's Day. After we gave David (Katie's Dad) his gifts, I was given a card and a gift (I will have to take pictures to show y'all later) from Alison. After that was done we started to get Katie, Ali & I ready. We had to leave Ypsi and be back in Waterford by 9am to meet my parents for breakfast. We did father's day stuff with my Dad and then we all went to Meijers. After Meijers everyone disbursed for the day. Katie, Ali and I went back to my place where Ali took a nap, so did Katie for that matter (she still wasn't feeling 100% from Saturday). In the late afternoon/early evening the three of us drove out to a family gathering on Katie's side for Father's day. After that it was just back home to pass out.
