Good Stuff

I went up to Station 1 for training this morning at 10:00am. When I got there I was told there was no training today and I needed to go to Station 2 to speak with the training officer. So I did...when I got to Station 2 I spoke with the Training Officer for a few and then he received a phone call. After the call he told me to hightail it back to Station 1 because there is going to be training today...at 10:30am instead of 10:00am. I got to Station 1 and as I was getting ready for training the tones went off. They called Rescue 1, Rescue 2, Rescue 3, Engine 1, Engine 2 and 103(Incident Command). The engineer on E-1 told me to grab my gear...fast. So I ran out to my truck and grabbed my duffel bag. I oped up E-1 and tossed the bag in the back and jumped in the front seat as E-1 rolled out of the bay. The scene was fairly calm. Seemed that there was just a power surge that set off the alarm system on the house but, there was no fire to speak of. It's ok, better to go on a dummy run then for a home to burn. On the drive back E-1 was sent for a medical run. Seeing as how E-1 was my ride back to my truck, I got to go on that run as well. By the time we got back to the station it was close to noon and the Training Officer decided to move training to Friday morning. I may not have been able to get my training this morning, but I was fortunate enough to assist at 2 scenes...and I was actually able to help at the medical.

This was all before work today. :)
---EDIT---
Unfortunately...work sucked just as much as it normally does.
