my girlfriend lindsay got me the new green day cd for my birthday, as well as two pairs of awesome ass boxers, gotta love'er. but this entry is about the cd...
o my fucking god, this cd is a complete masterpiece. i listend to it several times in the last few days, not really realizing what it was about until today. something like atreyu's the curse, how the whole cd is about the vampire girl, but this cd is so much more. its about a character that billie joe made up, jesus of suburbia, hes fighting through his life in suburbia and is looking for something. meets a person, st. jimmy, who is how we say, a bad influence, and a woman in his life, whatsername. holy shit, this is the story of a lost kid and when i figured out what this cd was it almost brought tears to my eyes, its just completely amazing.
the whole cd is written as jesus is writing it asking wats going on and telling of his friend st. jimmy, who leads him astray to experiment with drugs until jimmy eventually "blows his brains out in the bay" and kills himself, and his lady friend happens to not be able to take the city anymore and leaves h im alone, until we see jesus working in an office on esast 12th street, filling out paperwork asking for someone to get him out of here,
listen to cd and think about what i said, listen to it again and see the plot, this is the story of a teenager, whose confused and grows up. its pure genius and is greendays best work. not as fast paced as dookie or nimrod, but better in its own way.

this cd cannot be seperated to listen to just certain songs would be a crime and u would not get a word i said, its a story, and you wouldnt read the end of a story without reading the beginning would u. no shuffle just listen striaght through its gonna mean something different every single time.
