J's made an effort today to look smart and snazzy and all that jazz. Though it just doesn't quite compare to his friend who pretty much radiates sophistication. It doesn't matter all that much to J who knows he's more fun has his hands all over Liam. Liam accepts the manhandling, although he'll make an effort to keep things decent. For the children

"Sorry to hear that," Liam says, sobering up a bit. An immortal, by the sound of it. "Still, there'll be others, if not on your world then somewhere-" he makes a grand gesture towards the multiverse, "-out there."

Val smiles and nods. "Yes, most were in my own world, but the most recent I met here. I do not think I will be losing him for a very long time, though. At least, I hope not." Though even the almost-three-decades is still little more than a blink of the eye, for Val.

"You've got a remarkable attitude for your situation," Liam says with a half-smile in return. "Best of luck to you and your boy."

Will's smile is quiet but sincere -- he's often wondered if he did the right thing, helping J. Seeing him happy, however -- if the cause is somewhat bemusing -- is a good feeling.

"Congratulations, I suppose," he says briskly. "And I don't do sappy or romantic, for which I am extremely grateful."

"Why thank you very much." He grins. "We'll see how long that lasts. If I can be sappy and romantic, anyone can."

Will smiles polite disagreement, but doesn't say anything. At fifteen, he knows better of course. "You've been well then?"

J grins and pulls Liam closer. "If you don't mind understatements, yeah I have."

Mizuno Ami has a smirk for J.

"It's been awhile," she remarks, although she ignores the ostensible question and doesn't answer him.

"It has." He smirks right on back. "You strike me as the sappy and sickeningly romantic type. So am I right?"

"No," she answers bluntly. "I hate it."

"Aw, not the flowers and chocolates and shiny presents?" Hint, hint on that last one there.

"Ooooo!" Joan's eyes light up at the sight of two deliciously hot men and one of them a good friend besides!

"J!" She waves from John's couch. "Don't you just look fiiiine!"

She turns to Liam. "And you too, gorgeous! As for what you're getting yourself into? The best damn ride of your life!" She cheers. And look...two bottles of hypervodka. "This calls for a celebration!"

She winks at J. "Ha, we all know the answer to your question, hmmm?"

"That's what I thought," Liam says with a laugh. "Is that alcohol over there, my fine lady?" There's nothing Liam loves better (besides J) than alcohol.

"Indeed it is my good sir!" Joan moves over on the couch and invites them to sit. "The best damn alcohol you'll ever have!"

She snukes at Liam. "So what's your story, handsome? How did you land the ever so gorgeous J?"

What can she say, Joan loves gossip!

Liam gives J a kiss on the cheek before moving to the couch, eying the bottles with glee. "It's a long, complicated, drawn out story... we met in the Nexus, the sex is great, and for some reason he wants to put up with me." He can go into more detail, of course, if she'd like.

I've been in love before, but only my fiancé makes me sappy. I like to think I've been romantic before, though.

"I've never found real reason to be romantic before, not really. Or sappy." He tugs on J's hair gently, perhaps in an 'it's okay, I promise not to shag the nearest person if you let me go' sort of way. J's a bit insecure, bless him.
