J's made an effort today to look smart and snazzy and all that jazz. Though it just doesn't quite compare to his friend who pretty much radiates sophistication. It doesn't matter all that much to J who knows he's more fun has his hands all over Liam. Liam accepts the manhandling, although he'll make an effort to keep things decent. For the children

Will's smile is quiet but sincere -- he's often wondered if he did the right thing, helping J. Seeing him happy, however -- if the cause is somewhat bemusing -- is a good feeling.

"Congratulations, I suppose," he says briskly. "And I don't do sappy or romantic, for which I am extremely grateful."

"Why thank you very much." He grins. "We'll see how long that lasts. If I can be sappy and romantic, anyone can."

Will smiles polite disagreement, but doesn't say anything. At fifteen, he knows better of course. "You've been well then?"

J grins and pulls Liam closer. "If you don't mind understatements, yeah I have."

"Oh, no objections to understatements at all," Will assures him. "I wouldn't mind if you made some more -- it has been a while since we've talked." Which is understatement itself.

"First you tell me how you've been, yeah?"

[w0tcha]

Will smiles. "All right," he says. "Fine, but busy. I've been travelling a lot, and that always tires you out. Nothing as exciting as what you've been up to, I expect."

"Ever the exciting one, yeah. Where you been traveling to?"

"Back and forth mostly, once to Cornwall, home for the bank holiday weekend ..." Will shrugs. "Got reading to do for school. Please tell me you can beat that."

J takes a breath, "Let's see, visited some work friends, sorted out several misunderstandings, did work, brought karaoke to the Nexus and got engaged. What do you think?"

[w0tcha]

Will nods approval. "Much better than me, I think." He pauses. "How does being engaged work?" he asks quietly. "I don't mean to be dense, but I don't get it."

"It's not something very easy to explain. But it feels right, so..." He shrugs. "It's just love. Ok, and plenty of lust as well, but mainly love. And me trying to explain love would just be disastrous."

Will has to smile at that. "I don't think it's the sort of thing you can explain, not really," he admits. "But even if I don't understand, I am happy for you. How'd it come about then?"

"Well, we met in the Nexus, ran into each other a couple of times again and I insisted we go out sometime. And he obviously fell in love with my absolute charm, annnd vice versa. But honestly, this was definitely the last thing I expected. But he was too much of a good catch to let slip through my fingers."

Will's interested. "If you met here, where will you live?"

[sable_mind]

"That's the second time I've been asked that... I guess we'll just live in two places at once. Besides, with the PINpoints it'd be just like having one big house."
